Andrew Giles is a Special Counsel with HWL Ebsworth Lawyers who’s core areas of practice are all aspects of property law (including EOI for acquisition of freehold and leasehold sites), large scale construction, infrastructure and development projects (including procurement), banking and finance, commercial contracting (including supply and services agreements), mergers and acquisitions, corporate structuring and compliance work for businesses. Possessing complementary tertiary qualifications in commerce (finance major) and business experience, Andrew retains a strong commercial and practical approach to issues.
Andrew currently acts for a wide variety of participants in the development industry from private developers, service authorities and all levels of government. Andrew took over the role of President of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (Northern Territory) Limited in February of 2022 and currently sits on the Law Council of Australia’s National Electronic Conveyancing System Committee and the Law Society Northern Territory’s Commercial Law Committee
