Tonight at the prestigious UDIA National Awards for Excellence 2025, we recognised and celebrated the very best that Australia’s urban development industry has to offer.
This year’s Awards for Excellence showcased finalists from each state across Australia who had proven their ability to innovate and adapt to a rapidly changing marketplace and reflect the outstanding individual qualities present in our membership.
“All our finalists demonstrated the attributes of what is special about new development, and I am delighted to congratulate the UDIA National Awards for Excellence 2025 Winners in the 17 categories for their extraordinary efforts and exceptional achievements,” said Col Dutton, UDIA National President.

Deemed ‘the best of the best’ across categories, this coveted Award recognises a project that changes the way we think about development and which represents industry best practice, and a high standard of development.
The winning project represents the most outstanding category winner, based on a range of factors including:
- the challenges presented and overcome in developing the site;
- the level of innovation implemented, which is over and above industry standard;
- the demonstrated community contribution of the project;
- the market success of the project; and
- the range of features and initiatives which substantially exceed regulatory baselines and standard practice for developments of that type across Australia
The Awards are highly regarded across our industry, as they are judged by experts in the industry and we thank our 2025 judges for volunteering their time and expertise to do the difficult job of evaluating the ‘best of the best’ from each state.
