Parkville by Oliver Hume illustrates the positive impact a Small Scale project can have in transforming an existing character area.

The developer’s passion for this project is clearly evident by the high-quality aesthetic of the 20 five-storey homes which accurately pay homage to the Victorian terraces unique to the area. The creation of a new private laneway comprising natural timbers and stone also successfully connected the project to the local neighbourhood.

The judges were highly impressed with the quality of internal finishes which were of a high calibre, creating a luxurious oasis within inner city Melbourne. The blend of private courtyards with internal living spaces increased the feeling of openness and serenity and the central stairwells created a level of opulence and grandeur.
