25 King demonstrates the beauty, safety, sustainability benefits, practicality and cost-effectiveness of mass timber construction and offers a revolutionary construction methodology that has the potential to forever alter the future (and height) of sustainable building in Australia. 

As Australia’s tallest and largest engineered-timber commercial building offering world class office space inside a timber building it represents the second iteration of a cross-laminated timber (CLT) building for Lendlease.

The timber used in 25 King was 100 per cent responsibly sourced from forests with full chain-of-custody certification. Featuring exposed timber beams, a grand colonnade at ground level, and expanses of glass revealing warm timber interiors, 25 King was designed with holistic sustainability and wellbeing as a priority and features a highly sustainable model. 

The judges were impressed at how this latest CLT building from Lendlease continues to raise the bar – not only in its construction, but in its ongoing operational efficiencies and minimisation of waste.
